Starting April 22nd 2021 This new personal awareness programme has been designed to suit adults (anyone over 16) that might be feeling a bit low in themselves and unsure what direction to take with career or struggling with their confidence. 23 October 2019 Mayo North East Announce Funding Boost for Social Enterprises in Ballina and West Mayo Municipal Districts Mayo North East are inviting applications from local social enterprises for the Small Capital Grants Scheme, announced this week by Mr Michael Ring TD, Minister for Rural and Community Development , The scheme will provide grants of between €2,000 and €15,000 for equipment, repairs or refurbishments which will enable social enterprises to improve their service. The scheme is an initiative under the National Social Enterprise Policy for Ireland 2018-2022, which the Minister published in July, and will be administered through the Local Development Companies. All Mayo North East SICAP staff, scheme supervisors, local services and community groups were invited to attend HSE ‘ENGAGE’ training – Skills to engage with men, with a module on ‘evidence based techniques for engaging with younger men’.
Mayo North East is organising a free Healthcare Support Training Course in Swinford for unemployed people or people in part-time employment. On successful completion of the course learners will have gained a Healthcare Support QQI Level 5 Major award. Garda Vetting must be successfully completed.
